A little about me...

Hi! I'm Aleah! I didn’t become a photographer because I loved cameras.

I became a photographer because I love people.

 

I love showing people who they are through someone else’s perspective—the version of themselves they don’t always get to see. The softness in their smile. The way they throw their head back when they laugh. The strength they carry without realizing it. The tiny expressions, gestures, and in-between moments that tell the story of who they truly are.

 

Photography, to me, is equal parts art and equal parts empathy.

 

I’ve been behind the camera for over six years, and I knew this was what I was meant to do the first time I delivered a gallery that brought someone to tears. They told me they had never seen themselves that way before. In that moment, I realized this wasn’t just about creating beautiful photographs. It was about helping people recognize their own beauty, worth, and the magic that has been there all along. I felt so empowered, that I knew I needed to do it as much as people would allow me to!

 

What I love most about photographing people is their essence. Their energy. The little details and angles that make them unlike anyone else in the world. I want your images to feel dreamy and nostalgic—like scenes from a movie made just for you. The kind you revisit years from now and remember not just what everything looked like, but exactly how it felt. I have a habit of noticing the little things—the glance between two people who have loved each other for years, the way someone tucks their hair behind their ear when they’re nervous, the laugh that escapes before they’re ready for it. Maybe that’s why I became a photographer. I fell in love with the details that make people who they are, and I never want those beautiful, ordinary pieces of a life to be forgotten.

 

When you work with me, you don’t have to know how to pose. You don’t have to be perfect. In fact, I hope you leave perfection at the door.

 

I’ll probably crack a joke, do something silly to make you laugh, and remind you that being yourself is more than enough. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, appreciated, heard, and celebrated exactly as you are. Because that’s where the real magic lives.

 

Whether I’m photographing a couple wrapped up in their own little world, a woman rediscovering her confidence during a boudoir session, or a family preserving this beautifully messy season of life, I never take for granted the trust people place in me. These moments matter.

 

I believe photographs are gifts.

 

They become reminders of who we were, how deeply we loved, how radiant we looked in the middle of ordinary days, and how precious the people beside us truly were. Sometimes life moves faster than we expect, and memories become harder to hold onto. That’s why having someone with a special eye to preserve them means everything.

 

Outside of photography, you’ll usually find me with an ice cold Coke (yes I'm a CocaCola girl)  in hand—a tradition that reminds me of my grandpa - he also loved Coke and I loved him. He helped me see that all people, even the frustrating ones, deserve empathy and understanding.  I adore all animals and insects and have been known to rescue little bugs in distress -- simply because every living thing deserves kindness. I love going to Comic Con every year to see how awesome Pop Culture has grown into this wildly accepted thing when at one time all of us nerds were mocked for loving the artsy out of the box --and beautiful things people created. I'm clumsy and a nerd and can often guess someone’s birthday within a few tries after meeting them. (It's wild, I know). 

 

The people who light me up most are kind-hearted, funny, a little quirky, and not afraid to embrace the imperfect moments. They value connection over perfection, don’t mind getting a little dirt on their shoes, and understand that the best stories rarely unfold exactly as planned.
